When good friend and writer for The Orlando Weekly, Billy Manes, contacted me to cover this gay rights story I knew I had to do it. My day started out covering the first marriages in the state of Florida at City Hall in Orlando. Later on in the day I was asked to cover more marriages at The Center/LGBT Community Center of Central Florida. Here are some of the imamanged to capture of the day.

Rebecca Builder Interiors
Last month I had the pleasure of shooting interiors for Rebecca Builder. Rebecca has an interior design firm in Winter Park and I was able to go around with her and photograph some examples of her work. What I noticed about her projects is that the style is rustic, yet colorful and modern. Rebecca's interior design philosophy creates aesthetically pleasing and functional spaces.
Orlando Aesthetic Institute
I recently had the pleasure of working with Dr. Clifford Clark and the Orlando Aesthetic Institute. Over the years I've photographed a variety of subjects for Dr. Clark. On this assignment I was asked to shoot some portraits, interiors and exteriors of the building. For the exterior shots, I used my aerial drone. The drone enabled me to get some angles of the building that normally I wouldn't have been able to shoot. I look forward to seeing the results on their new website.

Poseidon Spa | Castle Hotel
The last time I photographed Richard Kessler was at his Grand Bohemian location in downtown Orlando. This time around I was asked to photograph the Poseidon Spa at the Castle Hotel location off I-Drive which is also owned by Richard Kessler. The day of the shoot, the weather was cloudy, cold and foggy. In my opinion it was the perfect day for a spa shoot. Here are a few images from that shoot.

Travel Zoo / Victory Casino boat shoot
The editors at Travelzoo asked me if I’d shoot the Victory Casino out of Port Canaveral for an upcoming story. Specifically they wanted an image of the ship with no marina or dock in it. This meant either camp out on the inlet or... take my aerial quad copter out to sea. The choice was easy but flying off the top deck 4 miles out proved to not be so easy. I was shocked at how many people had just watched the 60 minutes story on aerial drones. Many people asked if I worked for Amazon and I laughed. As I made my way through the ship, it was awesome to see how much interest there was to see the quad fly. A little over a year ago when my fascination for these RC quad copters started I never dreamed I’d be flying one off a ship out at sea for an assignment. Here's what I came up with:

Its refreshing to see the growth happening in Orlando lately. On this assignment I was asked to photograph the creators of East End Market, a neighborhood market and cultural food hub inspired by Central Florida's local farmers and food artisans. Its as close to the west coast as I've encountered on the east coast.
